The little devil sat on the edge of the windowsill and looked outside
Watched the world – watched his own reflection in the window
Scorching days- the summer air heavy on the lungs -everyone is trying to breathe
Just trying to breathe…
Through the heavy air – through heavy days
Hello, said the little bear. What can you see outside the window there?
The little devil said nothing… after a while he responded…
“I see the world. I see darkness. I see night.
It is not a nice place little bear”
The little bear stepped closer to the window and took the hand of the little devil
“when I look outside I see flowers blooming and I see stars and their light shining through the darkness. “
The little devil looked out of the window again and tried to find the light.
“You know little bear, I can´t find the light. I think I am just not meant to see the flowers, and the stars and the light.
The little bear looked sadly at the little devil – how could he make him see all the nice things outside?
Why wasn´t he able to see them?
The little devil gazed back to the window – looking for his own reflection in it.
“See” – he said to the little bear, pointing to his own reflection. “I can´t see the flowers and the stars and the light because this is what I am….
I am a little devil….”
The little bear looked back to the window
and when he looked at their reflection, all the little bear saw were two little bears holding hands and looking out of the window trying to find some flowers and stars and light.
Neither of them said anything, but they were still holding hands when the first drops of rain began to fall.
And when the rain had finally washed away the night and the heavy summer heat, two little bears could be seen holding hands and watching the flowers in the first morning light.
